DC Bellamy's Rooster Blues debut, Water To Wine, will be released this summer. Bellamy, Curtis Mayfield's half-brother, was born on Chicago's West Side but now resides in Kansas City, MO. His group, America's Most Wanted, performed on Memphis' Beale Street after last month's Handy Awards, with accompaniment on piano by Ike Turner. Bellamy also performed at this year's Chicago Blues Festival (see news below). DC Bellamy currently plays every Monday night at the Club Paradox in Kansas City, Kansas, and will be performing at the Kansas City Street Blues Festival on Saturday, June 24 from 5-6:45 PM.
